Hi!
I’m currently a Producer and Reporter for The Jeremy Vine Show on BBC Radio 2.
Previously, between time spent at BBC Radio Lincolnshire and Radio Humberside, I worked as Broadcast Journalist, Station Sound Producer, Presenter/Producer of BBC Introducing, Breakfast Show Producer and the main cover Presenter/Producer of Drivetime.
I’m a big student radio fan-boy too. I spent four years at Edinburgh’s Fresh Air doing everything from advertising to presenting to managing the station. For the Student Radio Association I set up the Student Radio Chart Show and was an organiser of the annual Student Radio Awards and conference.
I started and run the largest film-festival Lincolnshire has to offer – Lincoln Shorts – and occasionally make my own stupid videos to stick on YouTube.
I’ve ended up doing quite a lot of voluntary and paid voiceover work, as well as public speaking, guest lecturing and so on. (Do get in touch for that sort of thing…).
I actually have a Geography degree. I always wanted to work in media but opted for ACADEMIA (non-radio) plus EXPERIENCE (radio all the way) rather than a straight up media course. Here I am at my peak:
Hello,
Nice to meet another Tim Johns, especially a Brit. I live in Atlanta, Georgia, but a huge fan of the U.K..
Hi Tim Johns.
Nice hear from you!
From Tim Johns.
Thanks, I keep up with a lot of British TV, its hard here in the states (Colonies as Jeremy Clarkson puts it). I do listen to BBC radio quite a bit though. Nice to meet you, its not a common name that we have, I have met one other like us in name.
Cheers,
Hello Tim. ‘And so on’. Blimey, you know how to sell yourself! Want a subscription to Resolution magazine?!
